The Limited was faced with a problem. One of its key sales districts for its Express brand of stores was suffering from significant inventory shrinkage and an inability to effectively transfer management headcount between locations due to inconsistencies in the knowledge and capabilities of management personnel.
The Project
The solution was to bring in someone to restructure the sales training operations for the district. With a broad background in both retail and training, one of our consultants designed and implemented a program to train 27 store managers and over 300 sales associates.
The result was the consistency that The Limited was looking for. Sales increased significantly throughout the region. Shrinkage decreased significantly. And Express was able to efficiently and effectively transfer managers and employees between stores as needed.
