Project 7th Grade is a national non-profit program that works to educate parents on the latest in drug prevention strategies and tools. The challenge was to expand the program’s national presence and to generate leads so that Project 7th Grade could meet its goal of delivering the program in 25 major cities across the US in the fall of 2006 and spring of 2007.
The Project
To generate the leads that Project 7thGrade required, Zion & Zion recommended and implemented a multifaceted strategy that consisted of print advertising, online advertising, and search engine marketing, all targeted at driving traffic to the new Project 7thGrade website that Zion & Zion created for the non-profit. Once at the website, schools and parents interested in bringing the program to their area are encouraged to fill out a form requesting that a program representative contact them.
Our consultants developed the advertising strategy, copy, and design, which included placement in national trade publications such as Middle Ground (targeting middle school teachers) and District Administration (targeting school superintendents, principals, and administrators).
In addition, Zion & Zion developed messaging, collaterals, and press releases for Project 7th Grade to use at industry conferences and political events in order to gain US legislative support for the program. Key among these political events was the reception in support of Project 7th Grade held in the Capitol Building in Washington, DC and hosted by Arizona Senators McCain and Kyl and Arizona Congressman Shadegg.
“The strategy and the advertising campaigns are really working. The lead pipeline is filling up, and we’re looking forward to meeting our 25 city goal in fall”
— Katherine Kennedy, National Director, Project 7th Grade
