Senior Web Developer
LOCATION: U.S. Remote
THE NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB: We are looking for a passionate, motivated, high-performing team member to join our agency. You will function primarily as a front-end developer, with opportunities to work in back-end development. You must be a self-starter and self-directed and able to work both on your own and in teams, alongside other developers, UX strategists, content developers, interactive designers, brand strategists, and account managers.
Experience Requirements:
- Extensive CMS theme development experience preferably WordPress
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, JS and CSS
- Front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap and/or Foundation
- Working knowledge of templating engines like Twig, Smarty, Mustache etc.
- Mobile-first experience building responsive interfaces
- Ample experience with API integrations
- CSS pre-processors such as Sass or Less
- JS frameworks such as Vue, Angular, React etc.
- JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp or Webpack
- Ability to adhere to accessibility standards
- Building high-performing / fast-loading sites
- Ability to define project requirements, like platform and technology stack, and scope project timelines
- Basic Photoshop skills (manipulating, compressing and exporting images for web)
- Comfortable in the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Able to accurately estimate number of hours required for projects
Pluses:
- Ecommerce experience like Shopify, WooCommerce etc
- Strong foundational knowledge of PHP and SQL
- MVC frameworks and common programming design patterns
- User experience best practices
- Version control systems (Git, Mercurial, Subversion, etc)
- Comfortability with CLI
- Basic analytics implementation with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Familiarity with WHM/cPanel server management software
