Thomas Hollmann Named Senior Director of Marketing Science
TEMPE, Ariz. (Oct. 10, 2017) – Zion & Zion, one of the Southwest’s top ranked full-service advertising agencies, adds Arizona State University (ASU) Professor, Thomas Hollmann, to lead its marketing science team.
Hollmann holds a Ph.D in marketing, and currently serves as a clinical associate professor of marketing at the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU, and the director of center member engagement at the Center for Services Leadership. His work experience spans four countries and more than a decade at Fortune 100 companies, including work with Black & Decker, Xerox, and as an executive at Sun Life Financial.
In his role at Zion & Zion, Hollmann will work with the agency’s in-house, Stanford-trained qualitative research team and its brand strategy and analytics teams to produce original industry research in the vertical markets in which the agency operates.
“Zion & Zion has a long history of bringing academic models and learnings to bear for our clients including our work related to the Organ Donor Willingness Model; the Health Belief Model; applying Dr. Robert Cialdini’s social psychology studies to user experience; and developing the agency’s proprietary Cognitive/Affective Model of Media Absorption,” said Zion & Zion CEO, Aric Zion. “As the agency continues to grow, Thomas’ position will enable the amplification of these activities, which will add even greater value to the work we do for our clients.”
Hollmann’s academic research interests include services science, with a focus on service quality, B2B, service analytics and relationship marketing, and an interest in relationship outcomes (profitability, customer equity, defection, retention, satisfaction, etc.). His research has appeared in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing. He has received research grants and awards from the Center for Innovation Management Studies, Xerox, IBM, and the Center for Services Leadership, and has served as a consultant to a range of Fortune 500 firms.
