TEMPE, Ariz. – January 9, 2014 – Zion & Zion (@ZIONandZION) one of Arizona’s top Public Relations, Social Media, Interactive and Advertising agencies, has been named the agency of record for national child abuse prevention nonprofit Childhelp®.

Since 1959, Childhelp has brought the light of hope and healing into the lives of millions of children as the leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping at-risk children. Childhelp is the only organization that provides the full continuum of child care from abuse prevention to final adoption, with programs and services including residential treatment services; children’s advocacy centers; therapeutic foster care; group homes and child abuse prevention, education and training. Childhelp operates a national 24/7 child abuse hotline, 19 chapters across the country and facilities in Arizona, California, Virginia and Tennessee. Additionally, in partnership with Arizona State University, Childhelp created a school-based curriculum, “Childhelp Speak Up. Be Safe,” targeted to educate and empower children to prevent and recognize abuse that is now in 15 states. Its roster of celebrity ambassadors includes names like Kathie Lee Gifford, Jane Seymour, Nancy O’Dell, Matthew Perry, Shaquille O’Neal and Betty White.

“For a cause such as ours, it is important to find the right agency partner that not only has the skills, but the passion for our mission,” stated Michael Medoro, chief development officer at Childhelp. “We were impressed with Zion & Zion’s level of integration across PR, social, and web as well as their national client roster and associated successes.”

Zion & Zion will be responsible for branding, public relations and social media efforts for the locally based nonprofit as well as the design of a new corporate national website and an associated ongoing digital strategy.

Zion & Zion CEO Aric Zion (@ariczion) commented, “Building on our successes of the past few years, we are in the enviable position of being able to choose who we want to work with as an agency, and a cause like the treatment and prevention of child abuse is something we are thrilled to embrace. We believe our commitment to innovation, integration and true business thinking remain key factors in bringing clients of this caliber and scope to our door.”
