Phoenix, AZ – August 7, 2009 – Zion & Zion has furthered its commitment to the environment this week by sponsoring the Chandler Chamber of Commerce Green Committee. Zion & Zion will help the Chandler Chamber Green Committee in its efforts to educate the community about green-friendly practices by providing the committee with public relations, social media and branding support.
Zion & Zion is a leader in the marketing/advertising industry in its efforts to diminish its carbon footprint. Not only does Zion & Zion implement employee programs which help the environment, initiatives are in place to target environmental responsibility in company operations. Now, in addition to its own internal efforts and the many green-friendly clients who are part of Zion & Zion’s extensive and diversified client base, the firm is excited to take this new step to increase its green momentum by sponsoring the Chandler Chamber Green Committee.
The mission of the Chandler Chamber Green Committee is to proactively increase green efforts among our business community members through education and leading by example. Each meeting incorporates a speaker from the community who educates on ways to make Chandler’s homes, businesses, and community more “green”.
Previous speakers have been from the recycling center, Green Build, USGBC and SRP with many more are to come. The committee sponsors many recycling events throughout the year as well as hosts educational field trips to local businesses such as recycling centers, solar companies, and LEED certified facilities. The Chandler Chamber Green Committee meets the third Friday of every month at 8am at the Chandler Chamber of Commerce.
