TEMPE, Ariz. (Nov. 5, 2014) The new Zion & Zion (@ZIONandZION) Building, located in Tempe, Ariz., has won “Best Project in the Southwest” for its architecture, in the $10 million and under category. The award comes from renowned industry publication ENR. The 14,000 square foot Zion & Zion Building was completed by the Arizona based ad agency earlier this year and features five high-tech conference rooms, six open collaborative spaces, nine foot high exterior sliding glass door windows, several thousand square feet of magnetic whiteboard walls, and 16 foot high ceilings as well as a hybrid work/play area and surround sound theatre café.

A panel of 10 judges, including senior architects, selected this year’s winners. The architects for the Zion & Zion Building were Tempe-based Architekton.

The winning projects will be covered in more detail in the November issue of ENR Southwest, and the winners will be honored at an event on Nov. 14. The winners in this and other categories will be competing in the upcoming national competition which pits other geographic regions against the Southwest.

Zion & Zion CEO Aric Zion (@ariczion) commented, “The Zion & Zion team spent two years working with Architekton planning our new building’s architecture and interior design down to the very last detail, including two trips, two years in a row, to NeoCon in Chicago. Every single member of the Zion & Zion team was involved in the planning of the new building, identifying what they needed to perform at their best and to maximize collaboration. The results of all that planning come through no matter where you look in our new building.”
